| His Story It seemed to be another 'normal' day at work. It was a cool, cloudy day outside. And then I saw her... The same golden brown eyes that sparkled like the sun. The same beautiful peanut butter skin that glowed with life and further accented by a warm, gentle smile. A boldness came from within me to get her phone number, for I knew in her spirit we could be great friends and maybe even more. It may have been cloudy outside, but it seemed like the sun shone on me that day when she wrote down her number... |
How Did I Know ?
I Knew He was the One... Well I had been praying
to God since I was a little Girl to send me the
right man. I remember my parents saying to me
that you have to tell God what you want. Give
God a description. So I did. I finally gave up until I
met him.
He was the answer to my prayer.
"God bless me to be with a man who puts you
first in his life. Who believes in God as well as
me. He must be understanding, love me for me.
He will enjoy being around family. He will be
romantic, and affectionate. He will show me how
much he loves me daily. He will appreciate me
and respect me. I can feel safe in his arms. He is
faithful."
This was my prayer. Jeff was an answer to my
prayer. Not only is he all that I prayed for but
each day is getting better and better. I hope that
it continues to be this. I love Him. I am happy to
be with him and be a part of his life.

It was a sunny, windy day outside. Jeff called as he
normally does early Friday morning. He asked me was I up
and dressed. That was around 11:00 a.m. I told him; "Yes." He
then told me that he is on his way. Jeff didn't arrive until a little after 1
p.m. He then drove up to Signal Hill Park located on the top hill of Long
Beach. We walked around the park. We then walked to the spot in where we first
kissed. But there was a young lady reading a book. So we then went to the corner
of the park. We were looking around and talking. That is when a man walks up to
Jeff. He hands me 2 dozen of long Pink Stem Roses. He gets the camera from
Jeff. He takes the picture of us and then leaves. Jeff turns to me and says
"Happy 6 Month Anniversary". He then looks at my Black Jacket
button. It has the letter " L". He says " I would like you to be with
me for a lifetime. I would love it if you became Mrs. Lowe".
By this time Jeff is on his knee. He then asked me to
marry him". I answered "Yes ". He then pulls the
ring out of his pocket. We enjoyed each other's
company... By this time I am excited yet
thinking our night was over as we

| Her Story: I've always been a really shy young lady. I had just moved from Florida. I had only been working at Pacific Hospital in Long Beach for a month. I was told by my boss that she didn't know how she got my resume. I was puzzled. As the sky was gray that day so was I. I went upstairs to deliver the items that I normally input into the computer system. I was in 2 West. And that is when I saw him. He had this big bright smile on his face. I didn't know why. He made a statement about what a nurse said in I.C.U. "The Devil is Busy". I knew better and I just felt something inside of me pull me. I responded to what He said. I didn't feel shy or bothered by him. I felt at peace. As I looked into his eyes I felt something. When he asked me what my name was I told him. Then he asked for my number. My day then went from a frown to a smile. As he walked away I thought; "wow". He then returned back into the Med Room. He looked on the wall and saw the Bulletin showing our annual Christmas Party. He then asked me if I would attend the Christmas Ball with him. I told him I didn't know and I would have to check my schedule to see if I had to work, but I would let him know. Well I went downstairs to see if I had to work. I did. So when I saw him again upstairs I let him know that I had to work late that night and I couldn't go with him to the ball. I apologized and told him that I am sorry but I can't go. As I walked away I saw a deep sad frown look upon his face. That made me feel bad... |
